Much of the talk about the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards has been about Miley Cyrus’ performance, but it shouldn’t overshadow the rest of the night.
Okay, maybe it will whether we want it to or not, but there were a lot of other notable things that happened.
Selena Gomez, at US Airways Center on Nov. 5, won Best Pop Video for “Come & Get It.” She was also seen rocking out to Justin Timberlake’s performance with former band mates, *NSYNC.
Drake, performing at US Airways Center on Nov. 16, sang a medley of new songs starting with the first live performance of "Hold on We're Going Home” in front of a camera shot made to resemble the cover art for his new album, Nothing Was the Same, his forthcoming new album.
Justin Timberlake, won for Video of the Year (“Mirrors”), Best Direction (“Suit & Tie”) and Best Editing (“Mirrors”). But the most memorable moment of his night was reuniting with *NSYNC to perform a medley of their old songs.
"Half of the moonmen I've ever won, I won with those four guys right there," Timberlake said of his *NSYNC after accepting the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award. "So above all else, I'm going to share this — we can keep it my house — but I'm going to share this award with them."
